SKEG REBUILDING - Did you know that the skeg on your outboard motor or outdrive is there to protect your propeller and lower unit from damage? Damaging the skeg on your lower unit or outdrive is quite common and can be repaired. Our process is to cut the old skeg off so that we have a clean cut. By using one of our patterns, we cut another piece of aluminun to fit your outdrive or lower unit. We then weld the piece on and polish and paint the unit.

LOWER UNIT REBUILDING - Did you know that when your lower unit becomes damaged by means of water freezing in the housing and causing the unit to crack or you hit a rock or a shoal, or sometimes the gears just give out, there is a 90% the unit is repairable? Your Marina may not tell you this. There is more cash to be made by selling you a new unit. Our job at Burrows Marine, is to save you money, not to talk you into something you don't need. You do not have to replace the unit with a new one. For half the cost of a new unit you can have your unit rebuilt. Another of our specialties is rebuilding lower units. The unit is first checked out by our technician. He will assess the problem and we will give you a writen quote on repairing your unit. Remember, if we can't repair it, NOBODY CAN.

INBOARD OR OUTBOARD MOTOR REPAIRS - With a top-quality specialist in the field, we can REPAIR, REBUILD AND REUSE. Our technician is ready and waiting to inform you of the repairs needed to get you up and going again. We take pride in the quality of our repairs.

AUTHORIZED INSURANCE REPAIRS - Being a specialist in the field of engine repairs, we work with insurance companies from time to time. Their recommendations have given us the opportunity to be the best we can be. We are honest and upfront when it comes to an insurance claim. We refuse to rip-off your insurance company or any insurance company.

SERVICE CALL - to Lake Temagami, Cassells and Rabbit Lakes in the Temagami area are becoming more and more demanding all the time. For the months of July and August, Burrows Marine will be making service calls to your dock or wherever you may be broken down. For the spring and fall, Burrows Marine will make a service call to your island to winterize and store your boat or boats in your boat house. We will return in the spring to tune your engine up, and put your boat back in the water for you.

WINTER STORAGE - Here at Burrows Marine we can take care of all you winter storage needs. With the new innovation of shrink wrapping, we are prepared to wrap your boat and store it for you in our secured yard, or give us a call and we can go to your island to shrink wrap your boat for storage there. INDUSTRIAL SEWING - Burrows Marine Sewing Dept. can take care of your industrial upholstering needs. We custom make boat tops to fit your boat. We can repair or replace the upholstery on your boat seats.
